Picea Pungens Glauca “Hoopsi”
Perhaps, Bluest of the Blue Spruce. This well known native North American plant is noted for its intense silvery blue coloring. The Hoopsi is a relatively slow growing tree at 12” per year. The tree grows even slower when young. The hoopsi is a tough tree with a wide range of growing areas. For optimum growth this variety should receive at least 15” of moisture per year and can be planted in Full Sun. Soil types and Ph are not critical and this plant can tolerate mild environmental salt and urban pollution
